Ever since we found out we were having a baby, I have been OBSESSED with llamas as a theme for the room. Llamas and cactus to be exact.
Don’t ask. I don’t know. I feel llamas are an underappreciated animal. I mean, how precious are they.
Anywho, llamas and cactus are a HUGE trend in baby rooms so finding decor was not difficult.
The most difficult thing was nailing down the bedding. Once we decided on that (there was a lot of back and forth), everything else just sort of fell into place.
We had already picked out our furniture. We loved the color and the fact that it was convertible. We knew our baby would get a lot of use out of the pieces. Again, there are SO many options out there. It can honestly be overwhelming but we just went to several different baby stores and looked at everything and settled on it together!
My in-laws bought the crib and mattress and my parents bought the changing table tray that goes on top of the dresser, the dresser, and the glider (My Aunt Ju and Sister Also helped with the glider and ottoman)! Baby Bennett is very blessed.
We decided on this furniture from Buy Buy Baby. We loved that the gray wasn’t too dark or too light. It was just the right color. Thc picture makes it look tan, but it’s really a beautiful, creamy gray color.
I went back and forth between several patterns and prints on etsy before deciding on this one from Wild Littles. She custom made the crib sheet, toddler quilt, and changing pad cover!
Again with the options. There are SO many. This one was by far, the most comfortable chair we sat in. I also liked the fact that it didn’t look like a piece of baby room furniture but a piece that we can eventually have elsewhere in our house. I plan on spending a lot of time rocking Bennett in this glider and it is oh so comfy! This is from Toys R Us.
We decided even before baby that we were going to replace all the carpet on our third story with flooring, but I wanted to have a rug that would be easy for me to clean and soft and comfy for Bennett to chill out on! I came across this one from target and it was the perfect one.
I found the wall art that matched the bedding on Etsy here. It is printable. I think i’ll print it on some high quality paper at home and then frame it. I have some other ideas for wall art as well, but am waiting until the furniture is in place to execute a vision.
I can’t wait for it all to be done! I will share the big reveal once we have it all finished.
